Energy use in the average Canadian home: 20% for electricity; 60% for winter heating; 20% for water heating; a growing amount for summer cooling.

This highlights the need for action on GreenHeat and the significant benefits

The GreenHeat Partnership

The GreenHeat Partnership was created in 2001 to provide a focus on the applications for space heating, space cooling and water heating that are possible with renewable energy technologies.

Launched by the canadian association for renewable energies, the GreenHeat Partnership involves a number of companies in the geothermal heat pump, solar thermal and biomass thermal industry which support the need for awareness of the contribution in residential and commercial / institutional sectors.

The main focus of the GreenHeat Partnership is to promote the economic and environmental benefits of GreenHeat technologies in the context of Canada's objective to reduce GHG emissions, and to ensure that GreenHeat is recognized as a viable option in any implementation process.
